13 min · Aired Oct 12, 2026 · Hosted by
The final piece of the puzzle. In this episode of Country Outdoors, we head west in pursuit of a Merriam’s turkey — the last bird needed to complete the Single Season Slam. From the moment the first gobble echoed across the mountains, we knew this hunt was going to be special. After chasing Easterns, Osceolas, and Rios, it all came down to this bird. Different terrain. Different sound. Different strategy. But the same adrenaline And when it finally happened… it meant more than just another tag filled. This Merriam completed the Single Season Slam — and it’s a moment we’ll never forget.
