5 Elements for Public Land Waterfowl – Humility

The second tip in this 5 part series is humility. There will be times when you might not find success after prepping for hours, but there will also be times when you’ve hit the jackpot. In any case, it is always best to stay level-headed. Don’t let yourself be too proud to make a change, even if it’s going well.

While hunting, patience is indeed a virtue. The weather can change instantly, and in that case, you have to be willing to adapt to your environment. There are many things we can control, but even more, we can’t control when public land hunting. You can’t control the weather, the ducks, or the people around you, which can all have a tremendous impact on your day. If you can take away one piece of advice from Billy, it’s never to be too proud to change.
