Outdoor America Names Mark Weeks as Chief Operating Officer

Outdoor America has named Mark Weeks as Chief Operating Officer. Weeks was promoted after serving as Outdoor America’s Senior Vice President of Business Development. The announcement was made today by Outdoor America CEO Nick Rhodes.

Weeks joined Outdoor America in 2022 and was responsible for building strategic alliances with endemic brands, events and talent for the creation of sponsored and original content. He oversaw all Outdoor America efforts in the building of the direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce platform and launch of “Outdoor America Shorts.” In his new role, Weeks will oversee operations of Outdoor America’s 24/7 FAST Channel Network and linear television network reaching more than 85 million households.

Before joining Outdoor America, Weeks was part of a management team that launched the Professional Sporting Clays Association (PSCA) programming on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN). As the Chief Operating Officer of the PSCA, Weeks oversaw the planning, organization and execution of 13 original episodes on NBCSN.

Weeks also brings knowledge from more than 30 years in the competitive shooting world. He was a member of 20 USA Shooting National Shotgun Teams and is a National and World Champion in Skeet Shooting. For the past 21 years, Weeks was on Active Duty in the United States Army as part of the United States Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) and served one tour of duty in Afghanistan during the Operation Enduring Freedom campaign.

During his time in the military, Weeks held numerous duties including competitive shooter, instructor and Team Chief. In 2008, Weeks was named USA Shooting Team Head Coach and helped guide Team USA to a record-breaking five Olympic medals at the Beijing Olympic Summer Games.

“Throughout his time at Outdoor America, Mark has proven himself as a detail-oriented and effective executive,” Rhodes said. “As Outdoor America evolves our technology and new programming initiatives for our FAST and Broadcast platforms, we will continue to look to Mark for leadership during future growth.”
