Outdoor America Expands Topical Content to Create Prime-Time Blocks: “Outdoor America Shorts”

Short-Form Programming Blocks Available for Linear Shows and Outdoor ExpertUser-Generated Content

NEW YORK (April 1, 2024) – Outdoor America’s free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service is expanding their commitment to topical programming created by both linear show producers and popular outdoor experts on YouTube. The exclusive media streaming platform will enable Outdoor America to highlight and elevate new expert voices and their outdoor industry brands through prime-time programming blocks known as Outdoor America Shorts.

Outdoor America plans to program prime-time shorts two nights per week in the second quarter of 2024. Introduced in January, Outdoor America Shorts has delivered audiences on par with the most-recognized long-form outdoor show brands. Short-form content creators and brands will reach wider audience exposure through Outdoor America’s FAST and broadcast television distribution.

Outdoor America Shorts is produced to help content creators and brand managers take advantage of quick turnaround for in-season information, entertainment and current product offerings,” Outdoor America CEO Nick Rhodes said. “Our objective is to provide outdoor lifestyle producers and brand managers with technology that creates a more real-time return on investment.”

Outdoor lifestyle producers will utilize the short-form platform to highlight their libraries and daily content, as well as automate and package their storytelling to all delivery destinations – .com, social and streaming.

Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) is a service that offers free access to pre-programmed video channels in exchange for watching ads during pre-scheduled breaks.  FAST TV works like traditional television but over the internet.
